I will bet all of those people from the diner can be found in that little cemetery you stumbled upon.

I agree with Dan. You might want to go back and ask some of the older townsfolk in the area if they remember a greasy spoon type restaurant being nearby. Then I’d go to the cemetery to see if I could find any of those names.

Hi, came upon your site and was listening to your shows. I feel compelled to write and ask you if you ever found out any information about the people or the diner? Did you ever make it back to the cemetery? I find it strange that the front desk directed you to cross a field for something to eat. It was almost like you were on autopilot when leaving for the restaurant. You said that the front desk person was still talking giving you directions as you were hurriedly exiting. And why no fear when entering the forest? Most would have second thoughts. Definitely some high strangeness at work here. I almost get the feeling that you were meant to know something. Someone had a story to tell….hugs from strangers? I’m sure you’ve tried to recollect the small talk that took place in the diner. The smallest of comments could help in your quest if you can remember any of the conversation. Maybe it’s a dimensional thing. More questions than answers. Just wondering if there’s any more to the story and if you’ve uncovered anything. On a side note…have you had any dreams since returning home about the incident or the people coming to you in your dreams? Would love to hear any follow up about this case. Thanks for sharing.

A little more info please. What happened after you left the hotel that led you to conclude that there was no diner? Was it not at the spot that you thought it should be located? Could you have made a mistake as to where it was? More details would be helpful.

I am fairly certain Doyle was a 33 year old man… in 1944, when he died… though not much else can be found on him… other than a death certificate filing in St. Clair County… East St. Louis…. 2 hours from where you had been staying.
